Justice for Richard Loitam Demand is getting momentum

Loitam Richard, 19 years old stdent from Manipur died in Bangalore on April 18 night after allegedly beaten by two of his hostel mates. He was a first-semester architecture student of Acharya Institute of Technology in Chikka Banavara in Bangalore.

His death first made news in online portals from North East India and soon spread to social media like Twitter, Facebook. After that, CNN-IBN too caught on the news and now demand for justice equivalent of Jessica Lal.. etc. have been raised.

Many people are appalled at the suggestion by college authorities that Richard Loitam had died of drug overdose. His close friends strongly refutes such suggestion and claims that it was a ‘murder’ or beaten to death.

A rally demanding justice for Richard will be held at Town Hall, M.G. Road, Bangalore and other Indian cities on Sunday as per news reports.

The facebook group demanding justice for Richard Loitam has crossed 70000 members in short period of time.
