HOW DEVENDRO SINGH LAISHRAM WAS CHEATED?…I am not a boxer but, I am associated with martial arts for a good part of my life. It was really sickening and disheartening to see how someone can cheat at the highest level and get away with it.
    1. In boxing, you cannot hit below the belt. From day one of boxing training, players are instructed not to hit below the belt. QUARTER FINAL MATCH LIGHT FLY W…EIGHT, Look at the shorts/trouser PADDY BARNES of Ireland was wearing. The white elastic band of his shorts was way above the umbilicus, just below his chest ,which is suppose to indicate his waist line. Once he put up his hand for guard, there is no abdomen left for Devendro to hit to score and to let him of his guard. Even if Devendro knows this, he cannot change his habbit not to hit below the belt during the bout without thinking twice.
    2. Once they come close, Paddy Barnes was holding Devendro’s arm. That way Devendro can never break away suddenly to create the distance for him to punch with an element of surprise. In frustration, Devendro head butted and the referee didn’t miss the opportunity to give him a foul. Once the foul is given, the referee cannot openly ignore what Paddy Barnes was doing. The referee gave him a foul only in the last round when everything was about to be over. No chance for Devendro to recover.
    3. In the last round after the foul was given for holding down Devendros arm , Paddy Barnes started stooping down when Devendro start attacking.
